  • 👨SUMMARY OF THE TOPIC:
  • Daffodils
The present topic "Daffodils " is a marvellous poem written by William Wordsworth. In this poem, the poet describes his personal experience of nature and its beauty. Once the poet was wandering alone in the countryside. He was many enthusiasts for such a journey. He had the intention to observe nature's beauty from very close. In his walk journey, Dorothy, the sister, accompanied him.  But in course of his journey, the poet was so deeply involved that he even forgot his sister's presence and discovered himself in an isolated state. Suddenly he came upon a field of golden Daffodils. The flowers of daffodils bloomed along the bank of a lake and beneath the trees. Such flowers stretched so long that seemed as if the field had no end. Those flowers stretched just like the stars on the milky way. Out of overjoying with the imaginary bent of mind, the poet says that he saw ten thousand daffodils at a glance. They were fluttering and dancing in the wind pleasantly. They were also tossing their heads gently and sharing their joys mirthfully.

Daffodils in Lake

The waves in the lakes were dancing, so also the daffodils as well. In such an enchanting natural view, the poet couldn't but dissolved himself to observe its splendours. He even forgot the physical presence of his sister, Dorothy. He was so overwhelmed that he imagined storing an unlimited wealth of joy in his mind beyond his knowledge. The joy was profound and permanent. The poet was quite mirthful. During observation, the poet accumulated permanent joy as unlimited wealth in his mind beyond his knowledge. The joy was unforgettable. In his later days, such memory recurred again and again whenever he was in leisure. The sight of daffodils filled his heart with pleasure and he started dancing with those daffodils in the realm of his imagination.

👨ILLUSTRATION OF THE TOPIC

Stanza-1

"I wandered  lonely as a cloud

That floats on high over vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host of golden daffodils,

Besides the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."

In this stanza, the poet describes his experience of encountering a large stretch of Daffodils. Once he was wandering alone just like a cloud. He was wandering like a cloud that floats over high hills and valleys aimlessly. Suddenly he could see a large stretch of innumerable Daffodils. They all scattered beside the lake and beneath the trees. It was wonderful that they were fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
